DUTCH ROMANIAN EVENTS ON SUSTAINABLE BUILDING

The event will be focused on presentation of Dutch concepts on sustainable building, bilateral cooperation in the field of energy efficiency in buildings, as well as financing opportunities for the sector.

The above mentioned conference and exhibition will take place in a broader context of Dutch-Romanian events in which the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is honoured to collaborate with Universitatea de Arhitectura si Urbanism 'Ion Mincu' (UAUIM), the National Museum for Contemporary Art and the Netherlands Architecture Institute:
- on March 3, 2009 three Dutch architects will give third year students of UAUIM guest lectures on different aspects of architecture. Participation of the guest lectures is solely for students and teachers of the UAUIM. From March 4 till March 19, 2009 some of the exhibition materials will be presented in the University Hall of the UAUIM.
- on March 10, 2009 Mr. Ole Bouman, director of the Netherlands Architecture Institute, and Mr. Nanne de Ru (www.powerhouse-company.com) will give a workshop for students of UAUIM. Participation is solely for students and teachers of the UAUIM. Later in the afternoon the Netherlands Architecture Institute and the National Museum of Contemporary Art will organize the debate 'Urbanology – Crash courses on a “science” in crisis'. The subject of this debate will be Public Space in a larger context of European Identity. The event will be moderated by Mr. Ole Bouman.
