Sandy Vaci will focus on two broad topics to help participants deal with the effects of the current economic downturn and, hopefully, take advantage of it. His presentation will be illustrated with case studies from his personal experience at various companies, in different geographies.
He will first review the current best international sales practices and destroy some “management myths” in the process. Items covered will include:

• Integrated sales planning, from capacity measurement to reward systems, to eliminate bottlenecks
• Using leading indicators to predict future performance and profits
• Tracking conversion ratio efficiencies to identify problem areas and fix them before they become “life
threatening”
• A local, Romanian case study to illustrate how to tie these elements successfully together
All of this should give everyone some good ideas on how to manage through the recession with improved sales efficiencies, using available resources. This should position your company for growth when the downturn is over.

The next topic will be expanding using innovative new sales and channel set ups, to take advantage of the opportunities presenting themselves at the start of the next upturn. Key topics to be covered:

• Owning revenue generating agent and customer relationships instead of owning cost generating assets
• How to set up a profitable agent network (vs. franchise set up), what to do, what to watch out for
• Review of different types of new, innovative sales channels and their integration into existing set ups
• These points will be illustrated with mini case studies from Western Europe and North America

Sandy has over 30 years international experience across 50 countries on 4 continents with Procter & Gamble, Citibank, Raiffeisen International, Neilson / Cadbury and The Royal Bank of Scotland, among others. Sandy is currently also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Credit Bank of Moscow and Partner, Board Effectiveness Practice, at Leaders’ Den - a UK based global consultancy.

An internationally quoted presenter and advisor, he is the author of two books on global best sales practices, published by VRL Publishing in London, UK. Sandy is also a “global citizen” with three home bases (Toronto, Vienna, Budapest).
