Art-Klett, a new challenge for the educational books’ market

BUCURESTI - 28 iunie 2017

Comunicat tip General in Educatie / Cultura

After more than 16 years of existence, Art Publishing Group , a Romanian owned publishing company that, through quality and diversity, dominates many editorial areas (among them, children’s books and educational books), is taking steps towards international development, by joint-venturing one of the leading names in educational books: Klett Group. The two editorial groups will develop a new entity, a publishing company entirely devoted to Romanian educational books: ART KLETT .

Established in 1897 in Stuttgart, Ernst Klett Verlag is a distinguished German publisher that, by means of quality work and dedication, has also managed to establish itself on many international markets in the last decades. Klett joins Art with a heritage of vast educational knowledge, meant to build up and expand the already impressive portfolio that Art Education has brought to the Romanian market.

Its exceptional editorial department and the diverse collaborations that Art Publishing Group has built with Romanian authors, have led to the creation of some stand-alone brands of educational books, such as Clubul Matematicienilor or Caietul inteligent. These, alongside all the other textbooks and workbooks of the group, are of real help to any student, starting with 0 grade and up to the level of baccalaureate.

Art Education has promoted, in all its 16 years of existence, the role of the active teacher and a viewpoint centred on the student, key elements of a longstanding quality in education. Hence, the continuous effort to create study materials that are up-to-date with the general development of society, that contribute to the joy of learning and teaching and also instilling children a love for reading.

Art Klett intends to continue to work in this spirit, dedicating more energy and more resources, thus bringing Romanian education to a new level, a European one.

Lack of financing, political interference, lack of access to European formation courses are some of the issues that have constantly plagued the Romanian education system. This means that all the teachers, but also parents and students now need a trusted partner in education. Furthermore, as the Romanian youth are more and more eager to finish the studies in Europe, a kind of education that will use means, techniques and materials at a European level, but that are actually made in Romania, can only bode well for our future.
