CEU Business School launches Weekend MBA in Romania

The Weekend MBA Program is ideal for professionals
based in Central and Eastern Europe. Classes run
intensively from Friday afternoon to Sunday noon, once
every three weeks. In between, you work on readings
and project assignments at your own pace. The program
is targeted primarily to working professionals who
wish to develop and broaden their business
understanding and acquire relevant management
competence and skills. The program has been
tailor-made to accommodate the needs of professionals,
and to assist in the acceleration of their corporate
career and entrepreneurial success without career
interruption.

The CEU Weekend MBA is a 60-credit degree program,
standard for U.S. MBA programs. The academic year has
three trimesters. During each trimester you generally
take two 3-credit and one 1.5-credit courses over five
residential weekends of study and exams. We have
designed the Weekend MBA with choices and flexibility
so that you can complete the core part of the program
in one and a half years and earn your MBA in two and a
half years. Tailor-made independent study projects,
the Strategic Management Project and semester exchange
opportunities are open to Weekend MBA candidates after
finishing the core program. These options can
accelerate the completion time of the MBA program.

The authorization to confer the MBA degree has been
granted to CEU Business School by the Department of
Education of the State of New York. Central European
University is accredited by the Middle States
Association of Colleges & Universities (MSA) and is
also accredited as an EU private university.

Despre Tigros Net

CEU Business School was established in 1988 (it was
known for the past 15 years as IMC - International
Management Center) by a group of visionary leaders,
including philanthropist George Soros and Hungarian
entrepreneur Sándor Demján. It was the first
educational institution in the CEE region to train
managers by offering a western graduate business
program leading to an American MBA. Since its
inception, the school has pursued the goal of
developing standards in line with Western
institutions, while ensuring timely and relevant
consideration of the changes within the region’s
transforming economies.
After 12 years of granting joint degrees, IMC joined
Central European University, as an integral part of
the institution, but remaining a legally independent,
separately registered entity. It’s name was officially
changed to CEU Graduate School of Business in
September of 2002.
